Balloon Elephant
What better balloon animal for a clown to make than a positively precious, pink pachyderm! This fun little balloon creation is really neat but does take a bit of an advanced twisting hand. Lets take a look!
Step 1. Inflate a 260 almost full then soften by letting some of the air out. You want about a 1 inch tail left when you tie.
Step 1.
Step 2. Grip the balloon in one hand while the index finger of the opposite hand pushes the knot way up inside, you want the balloon to have a slight curve. Now secure this with a tulip twist. This is the part that is slightly advanced.
Step 2.
Step 3. Make a bubble about 3 1/2 inches long.
Step 3.
Step 4. Give this bubble a loop twist.
Step 4.
Step 5. Make a second balloon just like in step 4, you now have the ears.
Step 5.
Step 6. Make a 1 1/2 inch bubble for the neck.
Step 6.
Step 7. Make 2 bubbles about 2 1/2 inches long.
Step 7.
Step 8. Lock twist these two behind the 1 inch neck bubble.
Step 8.
Step 9. For the body make a 2 inch bubble.
Step 9.
Step 10. The back legs will be the same as the front, two- 2 1/2 inch bubbles, but this time we will have the tail which should be about a 1 inch bubble.
Step 10.
Step 11. Okay here is the real test of your nerves o’ steal. At this point the balloon is under a huge amount of pressure, so take care as you lock twist the back legs with the tail.
Step 11.
Step 12. Draw some eyes and also horizontal lines to define the trunk.

You now have an adorable little elephant!
