It’s Summer and we are in one of the hottest month of the season. So probably you are going to get hired to do water games or games in a swimming pool for kids. Well, I have some cool games for kids and adults alike that you clowns and clownettes (if that’s a word) will have a blast in those kinds of events.
First a word of warning. If there is a swimming pool, always have adults helping you out while doing the games. There should always be a few outside the pool watching the kids and a few inside the pool with the kids. This setup helps in controlling them and at the same time watching for their security.
So let’s start with the games:
Frozen T-Shirt Contest

Get 2 t-shirts and pour water on them. Leave them overnight in the freezer before your event. The instruction of the game is simple. Separate the kids in two groups. Have them select one of them or you select one who will put the shirt on. It won’t be easy because the t-shirt will be frozen solid, so they have to unfreeze it first by any method in the pool, then the chosen kid has to put it on. The first group to do it wins.
Splash The Ball

Get all the beach balls you can get. Form a circle inside the pool. Throw the balls in the middle and the kids have to use water splash to move the balls. Whoever gets touch by a ball or whoever touches a ball will have to get out of the pool while the circle gets smaller and smaller. Last one standing wins
Rope Pulling Contest

Get a strong rope that crosses the pool side to side. Make 2 groups and let the pulling war begin.
Limbo

Find any stick and play the Limbo music while every kids tries to pass under the stick by bending backwards without touching it. Keep lowering it until only one is left.
Dancing Train in Water

Dancing Train
Make a line of kids and adults and have them do a dancing train to the tune of a fast pace song. This can be done in the water or outside.
FInd The Bottles
Find The Bottles
Get transparent bottles and fill them with water. Make sure the caps are white or transparent and throw them inside the pool. Most of them will sink. Have the kids look for the bottles in teams. The team that gets more bottles win.
More Wet Games Ideas
When there is no big pool, you can play with water balloons, buckets, cups and sponges. You can do races with sponges to fill the buckets with water. Pass the in a line from kid to kid to fill the buckets. Play catch the water balloon without breaking it. Each time they catch they have to take a step back. Water balloon wars. Bat the balloon. Do water balloon pinatas by hanging them and blindfolding the kids so they can try to hit them. Make them dance to the tune of funny songs or make them do fun famous dance moves.
