Balloons needed:
One 5 inch round balloon, white for the eyes and One 5 inch round balloon, any color for the nose
One 11 inch round balloon, preferably polka dotted for the head
A piece of a 260 at least 4 inches in length
Step 1: Inflate the 5-inch color round to about 2 inchs. Tie the knot close to the nozzle end.
Step 2a: Inflate the white 5 –inch round to almost double the size of your nose balloon and tie the knot close too the body of the balloon.
Step 2b: Twist the white balloon in half and wrap the nozzle around the middle 4 or 5 times.
|
Step 2c: Tie the nozzles of the nose and eye balloons together nearest the end. |
Step 3a: Inflate the 11-inch round about ¾ full for the head.
|
Step 3b: Now tie the knots of the eyes and nose into the nozzle of the head balloon, staying to the end of the nozzle. |
Step 4: Using the apple or tulip twist; push the knots to the opposite side of the balloon, grab them through the balloon with the other hand and twist several times. Using the piece of 260 wrap the knots so they do not come loose.
|
Step 5: Position the nose and eyes atop the head balloon and draw in the eyes and mouth. I like to use one of the polka dots for the mouth if one lines up properly. |
